Classic Sub Sandwich

According to legend, this classic sandwich got its name "Submarine" from the Groton Navy Submarine Base located in Connecticut. During World War 2, this huge coldcut sandwich was fed to returning sailors and solders because it was quick to prepare and inexpensive to make! We show you how easy it is to make one of these classic sandwiches on your barbecue grill Brick Oven Style. -BBQ Pit Boys

This sandwich also goes by the name of Grinder, Hero, Hoagie, Cosmo, Po'Boy, Spuckie, Wedge, Zep, and Italian. -BBQ Pit Boys

Recipe:

Some or all of the following:
salami,
prosciutto (dry cured ham),
capicola (dry cured pork shoulder)

If available, use clay bricks placed over hot coals for added texture and flavor when toasting, only possible when doing this "brick-oven" style.
