These seared Pork Steaks with "low and slow" Smoked Barbecue Beans recipe by the BBQ Pit Boys will be a hit at your next Q or tailgating party. Pork and Beans don't get any better than this.

Recipe:
4-8lbs.of Boston Butt (pork shoulder)
Pork Rub

4 cans Baked Beans (24-28oz. each)
Your favorite Barbecue Sauce
OR make Your Own as shown with
Jalapenos
Garlic Powder
Chili Powder
Cumin
Large bottle of Ketchup
Worcestershire Sauce
Hot Sauce (optional)
Beer

This is an easy to do recipe for "real" BBQ Steaks and Beans, done on a basic backyard BBQ grill.

Cut the Pork Shoulder into 1-1/2" steaks, or have your butcher do it for you. Coat the pork steaks with pepper, garlic and salt or your favorite pork spices. Sear the steaks and then place in a pan of bbq sauce opposite the hot coals.

Add the beans to the pot, a can of beer, and then some wood chunks to the fire. Cover the grill and slow simmer for about two hours, or more if you can wait!

Serve with your favorite sides.
